WHAT IS ‘THE WHISKY CLUB’?

One of best ways to enhance your experience of whisky is to enjoy a dram with like-minded friends. The ‘Whisky Club’ is exactly that – a place to relax, to become acquainted with old and new friends and to be introduced to lot’s of new exciting and exhilarating flavours!

Whisky can also be an expensive hobby, especially if you have a penchant for a  Cire Perdue Macallan 64 Year Old @ £356,000 a bottle! Now, at the ‘Whisky Club’ I’m not promising you a 64 year old Macallan, no honestly, seriously… well unless you’ve just won the lottery or are a Russian oligarch! However, what the ‘Whisky Club’ can promise is a choice selection of 6 different whiskies every month (6 whiskies x 12 months = 72 whiskies a year)! Whisky friends drinking whisky – now that sound like a good idea. Put a good meal in the mix and you are in for a treat. Good food, good friends and good whisky – PRICELESS!

The Spirit of Alba Whisky Club is not about making people feel ill at ease, it’s all about enjoyment! Everybody is relaxed, we enjoy a fantastic meal together and then we’re ready to appreciate our whisky. We enjoy each dram, talk a little about each whisky, distillery, cask finish etc., compare the evening’s whiskies and now and then even have our preconceptions shattered. It’s impossible to come up with a ‘winner’ on some evenings because we all have such different taste preferences – but then that leads onto a whole other set of interesting discussions! Another round barman!

The cost for each club meeting is £35.00 per head which covers your meal and a minimum of six whiskies.

If you’re interested in joining us then give me a call/text or drop me an email at:

Also if you are interested in starting a club in your local area, why not ask Spirit of Alba to run it for you – we supply the whisky – the glasswear – and can sort out venues and food. Contact us for a chat!
