ONLINE SHOPPING
We have taken great care to present the products on our website as accurately as possible. However, the images you see will depend on your monitor’s display and colour capabilities. Although we individually photograph every product, we also use some stock photography and are therefore unable to guarantee that every product image you see absolutely represents the actual merchandise. If you have any queries regarding a specific item – please contact us before you place an order and we will be happy to assist you.

ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER
The completion of the sale between you and Spirit of Alba will take place when your order is dispatched, unless you have cancelled/or require to return the order in accordance with the Order Cancellation/Return instructions set out below.

 

RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS

Returns Policy: We want you to be entirely satisfied with your order and it is our aim to ensure that all items supplied to our customers arrive in perfect condition.

We take great care in packing your order to ensure that it arrives in perfect condition. Unfortunately, there are times when parcels incur damage whilst in transit. If a parcel shows clear signs of damage or leakage at the time of delivery we ask that you refuse the parcel. Just ask that the courier returns the goods to sender.

If, upon arrival you are unhappy with any of the products ordered (where the items are damaged or delivered in error) we will refund your money or exchange the products (wherever possible) as long as you inform us of your intention to return the products within 7 working days from the date of your order being delivered. However, for your clarification, we are only able to reimburse the cost of returned items where the items were damaged or delivered in error.

Any product(s) being returned must be returned to us in the condition in which it was received, in the original packaging and with an unbroken seal on bottle(s). All refunds will be paid within 30 days of the date that you notified us of your intention to return the product(s).

Please be aware that not all of the items for sale on our website are new. Some items may be rare, antique, they may have been purchased at auction or privately and may be many years old. Product images on the website are intended for illustrative purposes only and may not provide exact clear representations of the item in stock however we strive to represent the products as accurately as possible (particularly for historic, antique and/or discontinued products, which may not be in perfect condition). Please also be aware that batch numbers, vintages and bottling dates are often (especially those associated with Independent bottlers or smaller companies) subject to change. If such an event occurs we will strive to inform you before the item is shipped.

 

RETURNING ITEMS:

The consignee is responsible for the cost of returning products to us unless the items being returned were damaged or delivered in error. The consignee is also responsible for insuring all returns as any item damaged during shipment back to us may be claimed by us against you.

For all returns, please follow the following instructions to ensure that the products are received in perfect condition and your returns can be processed quickly:

  1. Return a copy of your invoice to us with the items that you are returning highlighted. Please note the reason(s) for return against each item on your invoice.
  2. Pack and seal your return securely, in the original packaging, and include the completed invoice.
  3. Affix your return shipping label to the packaging. Make sure no other address labels are shown.

 

CANCELLATIONS:

To cancel your order you must notify us before your order has been processed for delivery. If you have already taken delivery of the order you can only return the product(s) to us if the items were delivered in error, or the items were damaged. Otherwise you will be liable for the full cost of returning the product(s) and will be responsible for any damage to the product(s) until we acknowledge receipt of the products. As such, you should ensure that the product(s) are adequately insured. You have a legal responsibility to keep the product(s) in your possession and to take reasonable care of the products until you return them to us. Should the product(s) show signs of damage or tampering we may have a right against you for compensation. We retain the right to arrange for collection of the product(s) at your cost in the event that you have not returned the product(s) within 30 days of your notice of cancellation.

In order to ensure the safety and security of customers’ financial details Spirit of Alba uses World Pay as the Payment Gateway to ensure that your details are sent securely. Once we have those details, we treat them responsibly ensuring that they cannot fall into the wrong hands.

Please note that Spirit of Alba does not accept cash, cheques or gift vouchers as payment online.

PRICING POLICY
Please note that all prices shown on the website are in £ Sterling and are presently exempt of VAT. However, this will eventually change without prior notice being given. As a result prices may change and offers can be withdrawn at any time.

BILLING ADDRESS POLICY
We are committed to providing high levels of security to our customers and ourselves. Hence situations may arise where we ask for Proof of ID.

  • This may be in the form of your Passport (a scan or photograph may be requested)
  • A copy of your Credit/Debit Card statement which confirms the BILLING address.
  • We may also ask you to obtain a transaction authorisation code confirming the transaction, thus confirming you are the cardholder.

These are the steps that Spirit of Alba and other retailers use to prevent fraud, so please do not be offended if asked.
