Teerenpeli is the first commercially available single malt whisky from Finland. The distillery was founded in 2002 at the brewery /restaurant of the same name in Lahti, Finland. The name Teerenpeli means ‘flirtation’ or ‘dalliance’. This whisky is eight years old and is bottled from a selection of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks at 43% abv – it’s a surprisingly well made whisky and is destined to be a huge hit – so watch out whisky world Finland has arrived! - Tasting Notes
Nose: Light and clean, hazelnut, citrus and a little hint of banana.
Palate: Sweet cereal – ‘muesli’ with honey notes as well as charred wood and vanilla.
Finish: Fairly long, light and clean, with notes of caramel and a smidgen of peat.
