Compass Box Orangerie
Only 2 left in stock
John Glaser and his team have been up to their blending wizardry again and come up with a belter! Their blend of Highland Single Malt with a Fife Grain Whisky has been infused with the zest of Navalino oranges, Indonesian cassia bark and Sri Lankan cloves. The result a sublime blended whisky with original zesty overtones! Now, some folks describe this as a liqueur but it is not as it doesn’t have the requisite additional sugar content – with this much flavour, it doesn’t need it. This is Compass Box at its most imaginative!
- Tasting Notes
Nose: The orange zest hits you immediately but the malt is there in the background.
Palate: Oh, sweet and sour, that’s different. If you’ve tasted Grand Marnier liqueur you’ll know exactly what I mean. Understandably the orange is the star here but the malt and sweetness of the grain are still apparent.
Finish: Long and warming, like a walk in a Mediterranean orchard with a little kick at the end.
