Ballantine’s 17 Year Old
Only 1 left in stock
The longer maturation of the 17 year old gives an extra depth of flavour and character to this blend. That is characterised by a subtle smokiness that differentiates it from Ballantine’s 12. It also has a fresh fruity and velvety texture which differs from the 21 year old. This was Jim Murray’s Scotch blend of the year in 2010 – it really is a wee stoater!
- Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich leathery notes with Madeira and a milk chocolate, a hint of smoke.
Palate: A vegan delight – cut grass, herbs, citrus fruit and then that touch of peat reek and biscuit sweetness.
Finish: Medium, fruity and dry.
